Guys what! Rock Star Wigs is Racist

All them companies! Gothic Lolita Wigs, rock star wigs, cosplay wigs USA, Dolluxe- all of them is in this heat because they all associate with each other. I like how this is my first post in a long time but since its cold and I figuratively cant function in the cold so that makes me lazy to pick up a camera, a pencil, a brush, I just sit under the covers and try to warm up my freezing fingers when typing, this is the perfect post because its only screenshots.

I remember when this company started (Gothic lolita wigs) and I remember when it branched out to may other companies mentioned above so they are literally all the same to me, all the same company with maybe different head providers.

All their pages looked like this. Yes there is maybe a latina in their (which can be both black or white (I know I may have the term wrong but every time I ask someone has a different word. I just know not to say Spanish)) but thats the thing, they love the lighter skin and will throw in a poc with lighter skin to maybe hint at people who feel bothered that they may be a supporter of POC (People of color). There is ONE black girl I notice many times, so they over to use her as "that black person" but of course she is light skin.

Other than that these are all the models for all the other wigs that is flowy or long or straight or fantasy, fairies, princesses, countess, elevens. All white, light and bright and this is for all the sites.
White light and bright. Since the companies started black women addressed them about this and they kind of ignored us. They used the lighter skinned black girl and we kind of sai.....wait, I kind of said okay. But I never bought from them again anyway-

-Because their wigs shed, you can maybe find the review on here. I loved the two toned color I bought from GLW and till this day it wont stop shedding. Cosplay wigs off ebay didn't shed this much at a lesser price. Their wigs is alright but not over 50$ alright. 30$ including shipping is the right price for these wigs.

I think Coco is used twice for this one,
-dont look the same tone as above do she?
So not the same darker tone but more relaxed, more of a model EVEN IN THE DORITOS BAG!!!!
Now compare this to above. So darker skin, watermelons, Jerry curl hair and.......wait........whats the name of this wig?

This is on a Black face website describing the different types.......what?

This company has been this discriminative for way too long. The darkest skin you can find or photoshop you associate it with watermelons and jezebel. I do not care if coco was on board with this, coco already have problems but as a business you should know better. Why didn't you use the pose and skin color of the same model in the Doritos one for this wig? Why did you specifically choose this wig, this skin tone and watermelon and think.............I think this is obvious trolling. You can say sorry my bad we didn't mean any harm and then try to get everyone to forget.

With the pattern of how you see dark skin and the miss representation I dont have anything more to say. If people are stupid enough or racist enough to shop by you then im sure you will do well in your business. I know there are enough racist to support you as the same Paula Dean.

OMG that is so cringe worthy... What year is it?

Exactly! Its hard for any person of color to call anyone racist because its the internet, all they have to do is say sorry and fix it up with some new pictures and then we all forget about it and this happens allot.

But its been years we kind of had this hidden discrimination going on.
And I hear they treat their models no better, as a business they are not very good dealing with the outside world.

They aren't racist. Number one the company started many years ago when this was a big fashion in Japan & most but not all Asians are light skin. Some Japanese tan soo much they try to look African American but that's not racist. When the name Jezebel comes up its referring to a Princess from the Bible, not some Wikipedia page people read. Wikipedia is written by thousands of people who translate what they "think" the Definition is.
When a wig is modeled the use of "whitewashing" is done so the features & structure of the model can be seen & even remove blemishes. Even cacasion people "whitewash". Its not a bad thing. If your a really dark skinned person your features wouldn't show without highlighting. It's also a good thing to use the lightened photos they use in your own photoshop to adjust the saturation & exposure to match your skin so you can tell if the wig will work with your tone. Better yet use their photo & use the selection tool in photo shop to remove the wig off the models head and put it on a photo of yourself. The point stands as this they represent lolitas, Dragqueens, Cosplay, African Americans & all the colors of the world.
Conclusion I see a lot of hate coming out with the term "BLACK" from people complaining that are darker origin, some people that are dark tone do have shops specifically for Dark tone & they flat out label it as a "black woman's wig supply". So get over this. They have models of all races.

Okay. The only one I can vouch for is Cosplay Wigs, but I see what you mean with them being all connected. Cosplay wigs openly always posts POC cosplayers on their facebook, twitter, instagram etc. But they DO need to up their actual sites. It's like, if you support them so much then where are they wearing your wigs?

I used to lust after GLW but the prices always turned me off, and I always found better and cheaper. But now I am definitely turned off for good.

Hey person with no picture so its not as relevant to respond fully because im wasting my time on someone that cant take the effort to even place an avatar or who literally made an account to tell me a black person that has been trained since birth whether I like it or not that whats racist and whats not.

the history
the pictures
the man behind this
all adds up the racism.

I would rather search or build my own wigs and make my own shop for women of all kinds with better pictures than shop with them again.

Black people are awesome. They tend to look nicer and pronounce words better. Just my opinion.

But the term ganguro loosely translates to "black face" and people who look like that are seen as loose and lazy in Japan, and often refered to as beach bunnies.

Companies whitewash to make models more delicate and cute looking especially where the lolita style is concerned, and overall i dont see very many POC featured in the lolita style.
it's not right that POC have to,in a sense feel like they cant fit in cosplay or being lolita. Im latino and have fairmedium skin and when i see cosplayers on social media its almost always the really light skinned ones, and i also feel like i wouldnt fit in. No matter the persons complexion, they can be cute.

I shop from there, and I am not racist. In the slightest. Just because someone likes someone else's products doesn't mean they are racist, for god's sake.
I like their wigs. They are good quality, don't shed from the experience I've had, and I honestly haven't seen any racism there. You're blowing things out of proportion a bit. "So, the name of a wig happens to have something to do with something else". That doesn't mean it absolutely is that way. And, black people happen to have a stereotype that they love watermelons. What's the big deal about that. I love watermelons. >.>
If you haven't noticed, they use a lot of the same models for everything. Goes for the models of every race, significantly Alexa Poletti. She models the majority of their wigs. The POC models are used frequently as well. Perhaps not as frequently as some models, who have been there for years upon years, and that is why.
You cannot say that because the modelling industry is significantly overpowered by models with fair skin that every company that ends up like that is racist. You need to rethink this a lot. They are not racist in the slightest.

SPOT ON!!!! I'm really happy you're starting to see how they portray melanated people for the sole purpose of marketing.

Also, you could use a few spell and grammatical checks, as it is a bit hard to read.
